MAINTENANCE ITEMS

Regarding water heaters, recent changes in the law have led manufacturers to change the dimensions of their new models.  Most will now be either a little wider, or a little taller, and this will cause problems getting them to fit into the closets.   If you are considering getting a new water heater (all units more than 10 year old will be replaced), please consider doing it now while the current inventory of smaller models is still available.  Please utilize our Fee for Service program for replacement of water heaters.  Use a microb type drain cleaner in your sinks, bathtub drains and washer. This will help extend the life of your pipes and prevent backups and leaks. You can use drain cleaners like "ZEP Drain Cleaner" available from Home Depot. Be sure that the label says it is ok for garbage disposals or dish washers. Some say you cannot use their products in those appliances without damage.
